Germany
GERMANY - One summer I began a trip to Germany in Hannover, visiting an old friend who was head of the Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychiatrie, a psychiatric hospital. I planned my arrival to coincide with the annual festival that takes place on the hospital grounds. The guests are patients, employees with their families and residents from the community. The food is traditional German fair, with copious amounts of bratwurst and beer on hand. The entertainment ranged from soccer matches to arcade games and culminated for me with the dance of the male nurses, who took their assignment very seriously.
